Move to any of these Ohio cities and you're gonna regret it big time!

If you’ve spent any time in Ohio as a visitor, you may have been impressed. By what I’m not sure. And from what I hear, many Ohio residents have some amount of state pride. I mean they could live in West Virginia, so it’s not the worst place in the country.

And believe it or not, there are people who are thinking about moving to Ohio, so we’re gonna talk about the places you DON'T want to live in this state if you do that. Ohio people know them by heart and can rattle them off pretty quickly. Most of these won’t be a huge shock for Ohioans. All we’re gonna do is rank them in order.

For our worst places in Ohio ranking, we’re going to be fair about things and use statistics. Things like crime rates and poverty and other measuring sticks such as quality of schools and home prices. In the end, we’ll know the undisputed loser as the worst place to live in the Buckeye State. And much of it has to do with the drugs and the decline of auto jobs. Let’s begin, shall we?

This was a ROUGH watch. As an Ohio resident I wanted to watch this, but the outright juvenile and sophomoric nature and tenor of this video was VERY hard to get through.

Born and raised here. Left for over 20yrs. and came back. I so appreciate the peace and quiet of rural farm life. I just hate the winter.

Ohio really isn’t that bad for those who aren’t familiar - this video makes it sound terrible 🥴 it’s not!

It really sucks to see how places in your state was destroyed by the outsourcing of jobs.

I'm from central Ohio and have done a lot of traveling around the world, but I absolutely appreciate Ohio. Despite wanting to go to a warmer climate when I was younger, as an adult and having experienced lots of different places, Ohio is a great place to live. The cost of living, tax rates, diversity of population, the seasons, wide range of businesses that are here all make it an attractive place to be.

I’m in no way a snowflake, but I found myself saying “wow cut us a break over here!” several times in this video lol. Ohio is a great state in my opinion. No crazy severe weather, no extreme wildlife predators, and you get to enjoy all four seasons; sometimes all in one day! I was born in Columbus and moved up to Lorain county (west side of Cleveland) around the age of 2 and have lived here ever since. Granted, I grew up in Grafton which is a small rural town that doesn’t even have a stoplight downtown anymore since they removed the only one recently. I LOVE it here. Yea, I can drive about 25 minutes and hit really bad parts of Lorain county, but being a local you just learn the areas to avoid, and honestly none seem to be so bad that I wouldn’t be comfortable at least driving my car through it. (With the exception of a few government housing projects) Crime happens everywhere. Ohio is truly a sight to be seen in many different areas and the people are neighborly and nice. I don’t foresee myself moving away any time soon! West side is the best side ;)

I was born and raised in Ohio, and now live in Colorado. Having lived in the south and also on the east coast, I can say that Ohio is definitely a wonderful place to live, to grow and to call home. Beautiful countrysides, rolling hills, gorgeous parks and stunning forests.

I grew up in Dayton, Ohio during the 1950's and lived there until the 1980's and still have many friends and ties there. You need to update your view of the area. Millions of dollars have been invested in the downtown area with a great number of people returning downtown to live. The demand for redeveloped and new housing downtown remains strong, . This is also is having an impact on the surrounding neighborhoods as well. Wright Patterson Air Force Base is the largest single site employer in the state. NCR's leaving had an impact but when it moved to the Atlanta area, it was a shell of its former self. Health care providers are among the largest employers in the area around the University of Dayton and Miami Valley Hospital continues to redevelop and thrive. The former county fairgrounds across from Miami Valley Hospital is being redeveloped in cooperation with the University of Dayton. Dayton is continuing to evolve as it always has. While I no longer live there, my family and friends are a strong pull on my loyalties. Please consult the Dayton Daily News for more information.

I went to Ohio for the first time this last November. There are a lot of run down areas for sure. One thing my son and I noticed was how friendly people are. Even the homeless people we encountered were friendly.

I live in Cleveland. While I was not born in Ohio, I grew up near Dayton. I can say this; Ohio is a great place to be FROM.

The first house I ever bought was in Youngstown Ohio for less then $20k. I still own that house. Its a tolerable commute to Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Akron for work and although it still has plenty of poor areas, crime has been steadily dropping. The downtown area has cleaned up a good bit as well and they have a really nice metropark system, botanical gardens, two play houses, a symphony orchestra, a Warner Theatre, minor league hockey and baseball teams, a museum of american art and Youngstown State. Surrounding suburbs like Boardman, Poland and Canfield are pretty nice. If you work remote and are looking for an area that has a cheap cost of living to make your paycheck go further, Youngstown would be a good choice. The expense of sending your kids to private schools is nothing when you consider the housing and property tax savings.

Talk about misinformation! College graduates can’t get a job either. There’s a person with a masters degree working as a Walmart cashier.

Moved from Los Angeles to Ohio and bought 4 acres of land for less than a two bedroom house in LosAngeles. Been here now for 15 years and it was the best thing I ever did. Was robbed several times while living in west side of LA (Mar Vista). Not one problem while living in Ohio and I am in the middle of the state. This is just my experience with Ohio.
