How To Use The Arc Tool - An Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

The arc tool can help you create some very unique shapes. You can create both open and closed arcs and work with the Arc slope live as you draw by using the up and down arrow keys. There's also a few other modifier keys you can use but you'll have to watch the video to find out what they are!

What if i dont want to draw an arc, but trying to arc an existing line with path?
I tried using the Filter > ARC, but it only arcs the line but not the path

Just a comment. In the 'Arc Segment Tool Options', a 'Slope' value of 50 (plus or minus) will give an arc that is a circle or ellipse segment.

When I click up and down arrows while using the Arc Tool the shape of the arc changes not by a little amount, but by a very large amount. How can I fix this?

When I use the arrow keys after drawing an arc, it moves the whole shape up, down, left, or right. (Windows user)
