I've been using Arc Browser for the past 6 months. While I was apprehensive to use it initially, there are some things I've grown to love about Arc. But some things drive me nuts. Here are my thoughts 6 months later.

Reviewer: We're going to see Arc improve and evolve rapidly in the coming years!
The Browser Company: We're not going to develop Arc Browser any further from now on

Probably worth pinning a comment about the developers (all but) abandoning the product this week.

The Arc Browser will not receive any new feature updates in the future, focusing solely on security patches and stability improvements.

Should update the video or do a follow up now that Arc is no longer going to get new features. The parent company is moving on to a new browser 😂

I was a major advocate for Arc but have given up on it for the most part in recent months as its a resource hog and they've moved onto another project.
I use a mix of Vivaldi for permanent windows on constant refresh and Brave Browser for everyday browsing.
I LOVED Arc I really did but I don't think they knew the direction in which they wanted to take it, the project appears very confused and as an app it needs serious work under the bonnet to make it usable for an 8-10 hour shift.

For a browser that has "Privacy" as a big and immediately forces me to have an account with them before letting me us it, that's an immediate turn off. It's such a waste of time. Installed and immediately deleted.

First! I've had Arc for Windows for 2 months now. Its great, but it is still a little buggy. I wish it had all the features that are in the Mac version.

Pretty impressed by Arc, seems like there's finally an "evolution" to a browser. The only downside is that it's using Chromium.

No issues with blocked sites with uBlock, also you can hide the side bar. Will say though, split view can make me confused when entering new tabs. Windows user here

You can close the sidebar with a hotkey, have the toolbar at the top which makes the pinned extensions better, customize mini arc and peek, horizontal splits.

You missed a lot of the nice customization features which then claim are downsides of Arc ?

I was using Arc Browser, but I switched back to Firefox with sidebery and multi-account containers. I wasn't expecting to use Arc long term because it's based on Chrome and as such is somewhat beholden to what Google does if they don't have the resources to commit to patching around those changes. But, t he other bit is that it's not possible to properly export things from the browser without resorting to 3rd party tools. Most other browsers are set up so that you can either export from them directly or you can import the data, but Arc is different enough that I needed a 3rd party tool.

That being said, those that are fine being limited to whatever Google thinks is OK in terms of things like ad blockers and are OK potentially being locked in, it's a really good browser. The Fx equivalent is a bit on the clunky side, but does work pretty well.

Dude, you can enable toolbar and it will show url and extensions on top of the window as in any other browser.
