I bought mine when they first came out and I hate it. I was foolish for paying that much more for a magnacut blade that was probably sharpened with a brick from the looks of it. I much prefer the basic one without the magnacut and extra 100+ dollars. Hopefully Leatherman took that extra money to hire someone who knows how to sharpen a blade.

The magnacut is actually the last reason i bought this, my leatherman blades almost never get used tbh. I always have a seperate folder for cutting. Great tool though, much better feel than the wave. It's also great to get a bit extender so you can use it as more of a full size screwdriver

I have a Roxon, like 1/5th the price of the ark. You can change the blade for a bunch of different things and has a full size set of scissors. I'd say go with that.

Nah, that ain't it chief. The US price is eye-watering, the price here in Australia is painful (499AUD/315USD), UK is excruciating (260GBP/336USD), and in New Zealand it's bone chilling (550NZD/372USD).

Until you get metal shavings in those magnets and it's a pain to clean them off, not much of a workhorse for the price, get a surge the real king of multi tools

The Arc might be the best thing since sliced bread but at this price one has to be a fool (or a collector) to buy it.

That’s the only reason I’m buying it, magnacut made me get back into knives and not I’m into multi tools with magnacut knives

The blade is super sharp and nice but the whole tool is pretty amazing I was like dang $250 for a Leatherman was more than I’ve spent on one before but once I got to know it totally worth it. I carry it every day and I could go on and on about the stuff I’ve done with it. I wish it had a nail clipper is about I could add on it .

You're better off getting a surge for heavy work or wave+ for edc. A multi tool (in my eyes) is meant to get beat up and used, so spending 250 for a magnacut blade that's going to get fucked up over the years doesn't really seem worth it to me

This is the Leatherman I carry 👌 I love it! I also carry a Leatherman style with the main scissors they discontinued it but it's my favorite

Let's talk about the junk bits. Everyother tool on it is the same as the cheaper leathermans.
Personally I prefer the $30 clones. I don't need a fancy blade.
Not to mention i could buy 6 multi tools and a knife for one leatherman.

here in the uk u basically cant buy knifes or even utility blades like this anymore so im using the one from my great grandads garage and it still works perfectly (probs a 1960s knife)
