You know that task you KNOW is only going to take five minutes, but your brain has convinced you it will take five hours? Well, have you ever heard of the Zeigarnik Effect?

Well, it basically says an unfinished task is harder to get out of your head than a task that you haven't started! Just starting a tiny piece of it might be the push you need to get it done!

Let me know what happens when you try this out for yourself!

That is great advice although I have a 1000 unfinished tasks as it is And I genuinely have no idea how to motivate myself to finish any of them

Nope.
I can START.
It's the FINISH that's a problem. 😂😂

I call it the night as well effect, find ways to chain one thing into another and it will be insufferable until everything is complete

So I'm not diagnosed but is this why when I start a task. Like on my cleaning days I can't just do one task at a time. So I'll begin a task then do it for like 5 mins or less then I'll switch tasks? I do it every time.
