In this video, I give you guys two of the most likely scenarios for the features and specs of the upcoming iPad 9 which I based off of the latest leaks and rumors.

It's important not to raise your hopes up or have too high of expectations for Apple's cheapest iPad, and I explain how the past shows us that.

I'd honestly expect the same A12, with the only two differences being a laminated display and 64GB of base storage.

I sweaaar they better really release it on September. I was planning on getting the 8th gen but realized it's pretty late and some sellers in our country actually discouraged buying it now. School starts in a few weeks but it's fine since I have a usable laptop.

iPad 9 is better with A13 Bionic Chips, they even have the 64GB as the minimum storage, it’s worth the wait than buying the 8th

Laminated display with A12 chip is basically bringing back the Air 3 and giving it a new name. I don't think that's likely.

Actually the Scenario 1 is kinda the same specs of the iPad Air 3. Scenario 2 seems good, but idk if Apple would keep the 329 base price with all these gains at once

With the scenario 1, I think they will bump the RAM up to 4GB, just as how the 2019 iPad, while retaining the A10, increased the RAM from 2GB to 3GB.

They will keep the A12 as they are continuing chip production for the Apple TV. It makes sense to get the prior iPad Air’s form factor. I don’t believe Cook will spring for additional display upgrades

My guess the big feature will be a $299 price tag, and one minor improvement to it. Either a laminated screen or an extra gig of RAM.

Either way I’m just going to keep using my iPad 6 until the base iPad gets the modern redesign or until it’s no longer supported by updates, whichever comes first. It’s still perfectly usable once it stops being supported, but my battery is getting kinda bad (coming up on 3 years old) so that alone plus all the other upgrades would be worth getting the base iPad again
