I honestly don't think I've ever seen Cameron looking so despondent. He must have wept with joy when he realised he would be facing Brown at the election and not Blair.

Blair was so dominant domestically it was embarrassing. Sometimes I wonder if his foreign policy blunders came as a result of him being bored and wanting a challenge.

Blair, for all his faults, had that articulate but informal style which was the perfect blend of using humour to masterfully deliver serious points in PMQs. He was still making a great point whilst using mocking language to undercut the other side's postilion. I have yet to see anyone else from any party be half as good as Blair was.

I really wish we had rustled up a few nuclear power stations. We might not be paying through the nose for gas and electricity.

You can see just how embarrassed Cameron is! It’s a joy to see :)

Look at the Tories sitting so close together, huddling/closing ranks to protect Cameron from Blair. Blair was an absolute beast. He bestrode the Commons like a Colossus.

Take away the Iraq war & I’d have him back tomorrow. Just look at the shape the country was in. Best economy ever, highest ever NHS satisfactory ratings & low poverty. The way people look at him now without thinking. He had faults as everyone will but Compare him to anything that’s come since & he’s in a different league.

don't like the look of the opposition, imagine what they'd do to the country if they got in.

Best PM

Idiots criticise him for Iraq towards the end (which was George Bush’ fault), but forget what he did with the Troubles in Northern Ireland at the beginning.

Sir Keir Starmer on PMQs today. You are right about Cameron. Get those Tories out Sir.

I think this was Blair’s strength, he had conviction and support in his actions. He was a leader but I guess all things come to an end. Arrogant for sure.

Blair was actually a strong supporter for nuclear power, but many others in the Labour party were not. Like most issues, there was a split over it

The best debater I have ever seen. Mr Blair. He made them look totally useless!

Surprised its got to be so complicated - have nuclear, wind, solar, ground heating etc.

We don't need coal and gas.

Wow can't stand Blair but Camera-on was shown up for being the empty vessel career politician he always was.

Why didn’t Blair’s get on and build them then? And why do we have to rely on the Japanese or Chinese to build them? Are we allergic to training our own people in an industry we might actually make profitable by selling abroad? The 7 billion EU rebate which was voluntarily given up could have been invested in so many things domestically.. we could even have had an HS2 !

Shame Blair spaffed all the money up the wall rather than delivering us a sustainable energy strategy

Remember when people used to be held accountable for what they said/did? Remember when flip-flopping was called out in politics? Tony Blair remembers.
