He's absolutely right and I think British Labour should listen to this advice. I don't agree with many of the Labour's views but I did always like Tony Blair. He wasn't extreme left, and as a conservative, I might have gone for him.

The next leader is probably doomed to fail no matter what - Labour need to win 120 additional seats at the next election to get the smallest of majorities and this is unlikely in one hit. So it would be sensible for the younger prospects to duck this selection and prepare for after the next election - hoping to win in 2029.
