The "ew" was uncalled for, classless and did show another side of her.

But her speech about health? There was nothing wrong with it and it wasn't fat phobic.

Not “Ew”. The AUDACITY. The level of maturity for you to still give props despite the shade thrown at you. You’re still getting your lick back in success and more because your supporters aren’t going to let her get away with having treated you that way. She’ll probably lose followers as a result. Oh well, being nasty doesn’t pay. Play dumb games, win dumb prizes. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Proud of you Stella, speak your truth, stand 10 toes down on it!

The Ew comment is a completely different topic from the video Gabriella made. All she said was it’s not fat phobic to care about your health — where is the lie??? And why are people so offended by the truth? She never bashed anyone. She literally said be confident, where what you want, but don’t forget to take care of your body. How is that fat phobic? 🧐

That was mad disrespectful. But she was telling no lies in that video. Long term obesity shortens life expectancy and diminishes your quality of life. What’s the real issue here?

Being healthy or wanting to get healthy shouldn’t be shameful

I feel like so many people took with Gabriella said out of context and this is like a reaction instead of processing it. For me, it felt like a big sister sitting me down and saying that she’s proud of me for being confident and learning to love myself at every weight and stage in life but as a reminder that long-term being super morbidly obese, may bring about some issues with mobility or a different quality of life. It was a wake up, call that I truly value. I just had weight loss surgery and my highest weight was 503, I was struggling with knee pain and on the verge of diabetes. I understand where she was coming from but it triggered a lot of people and I hate it but honestly, it needed to be said. I love my fellow, fat brothers and sisters, and want them to live long happy lives and of course losing weight doesn’t mean that nothing can happen to you healthwise, but it does decrease your chances of developing some conditions. No one is saying you need to be skinny, no one is saying that you specifically have to lose weight, but it is a gentle reminder of the reality of our life and health.

She knows she’s fat, she’s saying she no longer wants to pretend that it doesn’t come with health risks. It’s not that hard to understand. Other comorbidity habits get restricted—smoking is prohibited in/near buildings and you’ll get cut off at bars if you’re visibly drunk. Overeating is long-term very dangerous for your health, but many content creators are very open about how they want to stay obese.

Ugh. I'm overweight, medically considered obese, I'm fat. I'm also so sick of hearing "fat phobic, fat phobia" being thrown around all fast & loose. The "ew" comment was rude & gross but it didn't really have anything to do with what her video was about. Not wanting to be fat isn't fat phobic. I don't want to be fat. It's not fun, it's not healthy & it's also not fat phobic.

Her saying Ew was dead wrong. But her message was spot on. Argue with ya mammy

People are bashing her for wanting the take her health seriously?? It’s not fat phobic to care about your health

The Ew comment was definitely unnecessary of her but I will say I think everyone is taking what she said and really making it negative. It was legitimately good advice that is medically true. When your weight starts to effect your health and overall y every day life yeah you gotta make some changes. Not for appearances but for HEALTH. To me that is not fatphobic

I haven't seen the "ew" comment, but that's completely different from the video that went viral and people are calling fatphobic. All she did was warn people that being fat is fine and dandy in your youth but will hurt you in the long run. And she's right. Being 360 lbs at 26 is not the same as being 360 at 40. This fat acceptance movement was started in the 60s but you never see any old fat acceptance activists, there's a reason for that.

She's not being fatphobic she's telling y'all what lies at the end of the path she's been on since y'all were kids. She's sharing the insights she's realized after decades of insider knowledge. It's not an insult it's a warning.

I completely agree with the general consensus in this comment section.

A) she was very rude to say “ew” and this catty behaviour is not cute
B) she told no lies in the video

She’s happy she lost weight and her bones not hurting while she walks. Lmao you might be right because if that was me I will most dif have a fobia of going back to a weight where am always in some type of pain.🤣

That video didn’t have a fatphobic message but she’s definitely a pretty self absorbed person. It’s not fat phobic to want to lose weight or to be proud of your success in losing weight if you have reasons for losing that weight but being fat doesn’t guarantee personality or exempt someone from being nasty and self obsessed and Gabrielle is a good example of that.

As a person who’s currently a little over 300 and is 100 pounds down from being over 400…

I’m sorry about how she treated you, but that doesn’t make her message any less true.
