On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉

Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!

There is a lot going on in a U turn. This is way too slow for the normal stability. You have to actively balance the motorcycle. You want to use your rear brake, if necessary, not the front. You spend your whole life thinking "don't slip the clutch and burn it up" but this is one time where slipping the clutch is useful/mandatory. Trying to get a full lock U turn with the clutch in (coasting) is very likely to drop the bike. Applying power by slipping the clutch will keep the bike from falling. Look into the turn. Usually when you need to do several things at once, it is best to practice on one thing at a time and it will all eventually come together.

Nice video, my point of view, If there is a an uphill, or road is inclined, then using the clutch would not slow down the speed, when u are turning toward the slope, moreover if its a little bit off road( few sand or gravel particles) or watery, then putting any brake at that tilt position would be risky because tyre might slip, better is to practice it by overcoming your fear that tilt position will make you fall while motion, if you have required motion ur motor cycle would never fall, how ever heavy it is, this need some practice, i have been doing it many times especially in off road and inclined roads and fallen sometimes, also avoid brakes if its off road and maintain good motion if its too much inclined.

I'm taking the Harley beginner course and today is our final day and our "test" day. Everything else on the test hasn't been too bad so far, but this u-turn in a 20 foot box is giving me and everyone else in the class some issues. Our instructor says we've all "passed" the u-turn, but we all have a tendency to put our foot down and not turn our heads enough.

Drag the rear brake for more stability. Counter lean and keep the center of mass high

Nice video, I've been practicing slow turns but I find it incredibly hard. Need to work on my clutch control I think.
