“How dare you cancel my reservation after I said I’m leaving and taking my business elsewhere!” 😂

"I'm never coming back here!"
"May I please have that in writing?"

I used to put notes in people’s guest profiles saying “told us they would never stay again” and the date so it would pop up when they booked again. Whether the reservations person then wished to troll them or be syrupy sweet was totally up to them.

Yes!!! Telling the Karens I have no problem canceling their reservation so they can stay somewhere else. Attitudes changes quickly.

Lmao. She canceled that real quick! I love management like that. Don't let the entitled brat win.

Going from the slow, methodical, "explaining it in a way someone like *you* can understand", to the rapid, "Oh, thank *God* get the heck out of my hotel yesterday!" verbal pace is EVERYTHING to me. 🤣

One of my favorite thing while working the front desk was giving people the information for other accommodations in the area.

I love seeing this in real life. People make threats that they're not prepared to carry out, and then when somebody calls them on it they're appalled.

My favorite part ever: when Karens offer to leave and go somewhere else. You’re doing US a favor, thank you.😭

Those magic words "I'm taking my business elsewhere" giving permission to make you not our problem anymore.

I gotta say that sometimes I forget that every character is one person. Talent!

The fact that some people need to be talked to like children because they are adults throwing a temper tantrum

If I was the customer, I'd tell the Karen that I'd happily switch rooms if she paid for my upgrade. Then she has the room she wants, I get a better room, and the poor management personnel aren't harassed.

I love some managers abilities to explain so proficiently. I admire it.

I have worked in hotel for 25 years and this issue has happen far more than anyone would believe. What is surprising is that the Karen always come back and their behavior usually does not change

The customer is always right,
... until the manager decide, you're not a customer anymore. 😂

Calling a bluff is my favorite, especially working in banking. “If you won’t do XYZ for me then I might as well just close my account!” “I can close that out for you. Where would you like the check for your balance of $1.63 to be mailed to?”

One time we had a customer literally throw items at a cashier while yelling about how much money he spent at our store. The HC called a manager because we literally thought that we were going to have to call police on him. The manager comes up and calmly asks what's the problem. The customer had a long complaint about his online order not being ready and the cashier not being able to refund him and that she was trying to insult him by sending him to the customer service desk so the could cancel the order and his money would go back to his bank. Of course he flipped when the HC said it wouldn't go back on his card immediately because the bank can take up to 30 days to process the returned funds. By now we had about 30 customers watching and 5 cashiers ready to beat the guy cause the orginal cashier was crying in the arms of one of the others cashiers. The manager said he'll process the cancellation of the order, no the customer may not just take the stuff he grabbed in place of his order (that's theft, sir), and stepped over to check on the cashier. The man lost it again and started yelling at which point he was scolded very harshly by some other customers. He said my favorite line, "I'll just take my money somewhere else." All of us joke that we'd love to say please do, can I give you directions. The manager calmly came over to the register and loaded up the purchases and pushed the buggy over to the side. "Have a nice day then, sir." He then motioned him out and pulled out his store phone. "I'm sure the police can help you find your car if you've lost it." The customer was stunned. The audience all started clapping. The guy continued to argue even as the buggy was removed to customer service and he nearly had a heart attack when the police did pull up cause a customer called them. The cops were champs they walked him out explaining that there was a time to act like a toddler and time to put your big boy pants on and show people respect. We talked about that for months.
