Not the beginner method, but the method that beginners use. Surprisingly, most people's first idea (solving one side/face at a time) is actually one of the harder ways to solve the cube!

Someone said to me once "I've scrambled it so good that i couldn't solve it anymore"
edit
(they couldn't solve it cause i tried and was easy to solve it, it didn't have a corner twist or anything)

“I’ve never heard a non cuber actually say that they solved 5 sides”
You would be surprised what someone’s cousin can do

As a non-cuber who's watching this just for entertainment, it's really interesting to see how your thought patterns change once you learn how to solve it. There were a few times where my own "intuition" (in quotes bc I'm sure what I'm saying could be wrong) was like "why's he making that so complicated that part looks easy" merely because I don't know if that would mess up sides I'm trying to keep. Really neat stuff!

I remember when I was younger someone told me they could solve 5 sides...

...and I believed them

This is basically how non-cubers want or expect us to solve the cube.

8:34 scramble it randomly until it happens
works every time
A downside: that could take trillions of years

i hate when people hide to scramble the cube, it's not gonna change anything

I’ve actually solved only 5 sides before.
On a picture cube where the center can be mis-oriented

This video makes me remember when I wasn't a cuber.
One of my friends saw I was struggling to solve a rubik's cube.
He can solve it, but only the first layer.
He solved the first layer, and I said that can he solve the other 5 sides, and tought it was a side by side method.
