You don't need the a+ if you already have a help desk job. Get a network or security cert so you can move up! Thanks for sharing!

I work for a college in the IT department, with only a High School Deploma started off as a Help Desk Technician in 2012, moved up to a Senior Help Desk Technician in 2021. Being that in my organization there's only one Senior Help Desk Technician position so it was a waiting game to advance my career. Now here is the truth you really do not need to have any certifications or a college degree. But being that the college will pay for my tuition you might as well take advantage of it while you can. Experience is key and always wanting to learn more as technology evolves you will succeed in your career.

My college STC is doing the things you said with techinical school, I think I would rather have a bachelors degree for more room in what I decide to work in. But this is where I would love to start

Great information your info gave me some insight as someone who currently holds the A+ certification and haven't had any luck thus far. Experience is a big factor is what I am starting to learn. I started throwing everything and anything I have done tech related. I currently do web design services for two small businesses while also providing them some basic technical support like repairing their devices, troubleshooting software and hardware, hardware upgrades, etc.

You’re so cool 😎. I’m about to start taking a boot camp for computer user specialist with ACI Learning (usmc any of y’all are wanting to do that too, tell them Elizabeth adams in San Antonio TX recommended you! Help a girl out lol.) I am wanting to look for an internship to work 2 days out of the week. I’ll try a computer repair shop. Thank you so much for this video!!! 😊

I'm loving your videos. I have a degree in IT in Brazil, but very little experience, I'm afraid of not being good. I moved to Canada and was thinking of trying again with the help desk. Thanks
