Self-help guru Keith Raniere ran a secret cult where women were branded with his initials and ordered to have sex with him. He has been sentenced to 120 years in prison.

Raniere founded a "personal and professional development" company called NXIVM (pronounced nex-ee-um) in 1998 in upstate New York.

But prosecutors at his trial said NXIVM was a cover for a sex cult that manipulated and brainwashed dozens of victims, putting some on starvation diets.

Victims told of how they had to hand over embarrassing photographs and documents that were kept as collateral to keep them quiet about what was going on.

Inspired by her own experience of attending the group’s seminars, Emmy winning director Jehane Noujaim provides an unprecedented look into NXIVM in documentary series The Vow.

You watched the wrong thing.
That was a grasp at fame and relevance for all failed actors involved. They knew everything going on and this was there attempt to exonerate them self from guilt and turn on others. While seeking 15 more minutes. They were trafficking people and provided him with kids and women. They chose to participate not brainwashed. They also got paid. So they needed a way out.

I wish women were not so gullible. I also wish we as men were allowed to protect them.
