That's an impressive trio of Knipex pliers. I'm also a big fan of the extra slim Cobra. And there is nothing better for getting to strip rounded over surfaces and it doubled grip pliers.

The magic is they rotated the ridges 90 degrees and added a vertical v-notch. No witchcraft is involved.

A socket doesn’t work knuckle heads, but a tab of duct tape and a leatherman does.

Put 1 part inside and the other outside the fitting and any of those would work. Or just use SB ease out or a socket if there are flats down further we can't see

If you don't have the socket for it?
Simply disassemble the plastic around it.
It's only there for aesthetics.
