Jordan is allergic to admitting that religion is stupid.

Sam: I’m giving you the opportunity again to put your foot in your mouth.

Jordan: NOM NOM!

Its weird when you get a shrink and they unconsciously put you in your own little comforting religious bubble instead of actually getting to the root of your own neurosis.

Most of JP's arguments are simple psychobabble, aimed at desperately pleasing anyone and everyone who might afford him a living...

Sam did very well against Jordon, but I think Matt Dillahunty made him look even more ridiculous.

If religions are good to keep "stupid" people calm and "in line", then they should not put strange morality in simpleminded heads such as: "homosexual behavior is a sin". Thats rabble-rousing.

This puts to rest any nonsense that Peterson is a Christian. He’s a legend in his own mind.

Petersen has a pathological need to win every argument no matter how petty. If he can't do it on the merits he switches to semantics: "We are all stupid...".

"Underlying fictions".. JP tried to defend a weak position and it went as expected. All lies should die. The sooner the better. Just like a child moves on from his security blanket, so will those clinging to lies.

There is a difference between faith and church. We don’t know what exists in those other dimensions. There are many things we’ve discovered over time that were unbelievable prior, like quantum physics. I don’t think one is more stupid for believing there could be a creator or creators. I agree that blindly following a religion is for the weak, especially evangelicals who follow leaders that go against all that Jesus taught! So much hate!

Looks like JP fell off the wagon again. Poor guy must of hit his head this time.

Thanks for admitting those stories are fictions. Can we be done with this now?

Sometimes I think Jordan has a greater love for the 'Church' than he has outrage for it's crimes against humanity. I think it's preposterous that he should venerate the prolongation of religion's crushing mythologies when their only service to humanity is to increase fear and loathing of philosophy and culture.

Peterson acknowledges like Sam that the God(s) of religion are fiction and the real contention between them is the utility of these fictions. For the believers out there Jordan doesn't side with you, I'm sure you don't acknowledge your God as a fictious character -- like NO.

Jordan Peterson is so smart, but when it comes to Religion he can’t keep his foot out of his mouth.

There is nothing worse than an atheistic Christian apologist.

At least he called religious beliefs “fundamental underlying fictions”. That’s actually getting down to the meat of it. Once this fact is recognized one is freed from dogmatic belief and can separate what is useful in the religious teachings of all cultural milieus from what is BS, and to use that material to explore the nature of the collective and individual human spirit (not using that term in a superstitious sense)- because hidden within these stories truly is something like a distillation of millennia worth of human wisdom. The problem is that Peterson usually won’t clearly make that distinction. I wish Sam had been a little more open to listening to him here.
