In this one, Ben Shapiro says some dumb stuff, Andrew Tate fails on an analogy, and Eric Hovind admits he's a terrible person... Not bad for a first episode.

The weirdest thing to me from that last guy is how he repeats that the Universe ‘got it right’ “the first time”. If everything went wrong for life to exist once, it’s not like we’d know about it.

It’s kinda wild to me how so many people seem not to understand the idea that we can only exist in a world that would produce us. It’s not like we’d be sitting around in a universe where the expansion was too fast, complaining how we couldn’t exist because no planets could form.

I've never understood the "If there's no god I'd do all the crime" argument. The fact I don't believe there's a god or afterlife means prison is a VERY EFFECTIVE DETERRENT. I believe this is the only life I have, so even if I had the desire to commit crimes (who hasn't wished they could just steal something they wanted?) The idea losing a portion of that finite existence is far more terrifying than the threat of an afterlife nobody can prove exists.

The problem with the statistically improbable argument is that it always assumes that there is a predetermined outcome. Use a coin to choose between turning left and right and then start on a journey. The likelihood of ending up in a specific place is low, but the likelihood of arriving somewhere is 1.

Everytime I hear the dice argument I just always say "what are the chances of one person specifically winning the lottery? Pretty low I imagine. We have lottery winners. Low chance does not mean impossible". Another counter to that argument is; we have no idea how long the dice were being rolled.

"If what I say is true, then... what I say must be true."

That really is not a very good argument.
