I am using a WD black USB external storage and it’s only PS4 games that are getting downloaded to the external storage and it is not letting me change the default installation location for PS5 games to the external storage. Do I need a different hard drive for that?

I have 2tb external ssd for ps4/ps4 pro upgraded games and 2tb internal nvme for ps5 games

What im curious about is this: on the ps4 i was able to connect an external hardrive and it added itself to my internal storage. When i look at the storage space it includes both the built in storage and external in the amount of space i have shown as if it were a single storage space. It also automatically downloaded games to the external storage and i was still able to play them from there. Is this possible with the ps5? So far it doesnt seem to be so but im hoping i just missed something
