Being coachable is a HUGE thing, I recently switched from setter to middle and don’t know most of the footwork. During club tryouts yesterday, the coaches were teaching it to me on the spot to see if I could catch on quick and make the changes. Apparently, I did a good job because I got on the 17s team as a 14 year old 5’8” middle. I played on the C team at my high school this year and now I’m playing with the varsity girls! (given my vertical is good, almost all the other hitters are above 5’ 11”)

i literally tripped during try outs and just barely made the team cause i’m 5’9 at 13 i have literally never played volleyball or a sport in my life

Foundational Skill 6.5/10 (amazing back bone and setter I play Back row but cant really hit nor serve soo) Instructions Are really hard becauae its hard for me to focus but Im fairly good I listen and dont argue and I got along really well with all the team except one (i just didnt talk to her tho i thought she was annoying) what killed my shot was I was in Cross Country at the same time and the coach didnt want me missing that, and the fact that I cant overhand Serve at all, and I cant hit super well (form is off) she said she would have kept me but she didnt need everyone who tried out so she had to cut two people.
