As a volleyball player, I can actually see the difference. In volleyball, there are 2 types of jump serve. Float and top spin. To float the ball, u need to keep ur hand and palm stiff and hit the ball in the middle so it has no spin and basically goes nuts in the air. You can also compare it to a knuckle ball from soccer.
