Volleyball tryouts are coming in the coming weeks! Maybe you have been practicing all summer. Maybe you have just started. Wherever you are in volleyball land, it's important to note that there are some things that you can do to grow in your volleyball journey and try out with confidence. On my channel, I have done plenty of things to help grow your confidence in tryouts, but perhaps you need an extra boost. In the beginning of 7th grade I went to school tryouts and didnt make the team I remember me crying at the entrance waiting for my sister to pick me up since she was late. Instead of giving up I got over it and used it as inspiration to work harder. I watched coach koko’s videos and worked on my skills. Fast forward to two or three weeks ago I went to club tryouts and made my first club team. Now school tryouts are coming up again for eighth grade and I cant wait to show them what I learned!!! (So even if you fail in the beginning never give up use it as a lesson to work harder and come back stronger!)

Update: I MADE IT THROUGH FIRST CUTS!! Final tryouts are on Friday so i will update

my freshman daughter is very good at volleyball (but doenst think so), just went out for her first travel team that was her dream to play for.made the starting team out of 60-70 girls..she has put in the work throughout the summers and even winters.she played all-a-round on her team until she fractured her leg from basically jumping to much!this put her out for 2 months and she was devastated...all this time we took her to the tournaments and she cheered on her team from the bench and hung out with them.She has just this week got back to practicing and has a major tournament this weekend.She is talented and we practice alot but i truly believe its because she supported her team and still practiced even when she really couldnt that when she started practice again that she got moved to starting outside instead of middle, got asked to play all-a-round right away and the coach asked the team in front of all them who was the best serve-receive on the team?yeah...my daughter who plays front row!the one who practiced this for the months she couldnt play!the one who showed up for games with a good attitude!coaches see this from day one and beyond even when you dont think they do!If you have the right attitude and passion in this, you can do anything!

Had my first ever volleyball tryout on Monday and used some of the older videos (not this one bc my tryouts had started) Ended up making the JV high school team as a eighth grader with people who have been on travel teams for years!! I’ll be playing either starting or alternate outside. (Remember, even if you haven’t been in a team before, you can make it with general skills, sportsmanship, and hustling everywhere)

TYYYY!!! ive been watching a bunch of your vids and im so glad for this one. ive got tryouts the 8th thru the 11th and im so nervous. ill update after the final day. i hope everyone else makes their teams too!!

-day one:
today was just a bunch of conditioning. we ran 10 laps around the court and ran up and down the lines. then we did sets and did this thing called butterfly. we also did partner things and did some blocks just so the coach could see our jumps. we ended with serving.
overall it was way more fun and less stressful than i thought it would be. looking forward to tomorrow!!

It's Wednesday and i have tryouts starting today so I'm going to be updating my progress every once in a while over here. I am rlly excited!

Day 1: It went AMAZING!!! And then it was time to serve and i didn't get any over but that's ok cuz everyone makes mistakes.

Day 2: IT WENT EVEN BETTER THAN DAY So a lot of my serves went over, and my passes were making some progress.

Day 3: I was rlly nervous today and I did the best I could. I didn’t make it, but I’m going to practice all year to prepare for tryouts next year. I want you guys to not be discouraged by my post, I want you to do your best and not slack off. You go this!!!

Thank you! This really helps. I’ve been playing volleyball for 7 years now and love it. I’m going to be a freshman next school year and I have to make the team to play. How they did for me in 7th grade and 8th grade was that there were 2 teams, an and b, a was the better team. You got to play, on the team you were chosen to play on. I hope to make the varsity team as a freshman.

my tryouts are in november but the people in my county (or maybe not), hs tryouts are in the corner. so heres some EXTRA tips :)
be first from water break. it shows that youre VERY serious
when you make a mistake, hold the position you were in a find out the problem. if the coaches see you, they will see you as good/great potential
call the ball. communication is very ipmportant
