Fr Pine's explanation starting at like 36 seconds into the video is some of the most informative and wise advice I've ever heard.

Love Father Pine's response to being attracted to a religious habit.

Fr. Pine speaks like an angel is directly talking through him.

I think I've watched this clip about 20 times. There is something incredibly refreshing about how Fr. Pine words this advice.

If there's any video I would recommend to anybody who is discerning their vocation (including myself) then this one would be it. It's incredible how it was only 8 minutes long and yet so full of substance!

I'm attracted to religious life for a variety of reasons. But for me, the Habit only adds to the whole enchilada, if you will. I just totally Love Jesus, and that's my desire for religious Vocation.

🤯 being in a state of grace and patiently waiting… hm. Yes. There it is. How God reveals truth. I like how he talks about feeling the wood of the cross. That’s it. Raw truths are the only way I’ve ever come to know revelations. Never had a lovey dovey moment, other than witnessing the Sacraments, but I have experienced the Spirit working through me when I had no idea how to approach something—when you’re called regardless of your fear—to serve with compassion and it’s the last thing you want to do. That’s when you know you are only the instrument and all glory belongs to God.

I needed to hear this message. I'm discerning if I am being called to the Permanent Diaconate. I need to quit overthinking it and just do it. I need to serve God and the Archdiocese needs dedicated servants.

Well-timed, enlightening and trustworthy. Thank you both. Thank you, Lord. To all: have a blessed Holy Week.

I love this advice. The wisdom in this video can't be digested in just one watch. I struggle the most with what St. Ignatius of Loyola refers to as the enemy acting like "a licentious lover in wanting to be secret and not revealed." I hide too much of my struggles by habit but I am improving daily. It took courage to take the first step but the results ("proof" of his healing and strength) are indescribably amazing already.

Really needed this! I needed the push to do more and have a bit more discipline, to grow and know myself more. But Im starting to know enough, I think
