My retinol is only 1%, I use it 3 times a week, works fine, also I just learnt that skin must be wet before applying hyaluronic acid, living and learning but until now my retinol does not causes me any problem

Interestingly, I've been using retinoids for 25 years, and finally decided to go full blast with .1%Rx 6 months ago, and for the life of me cannot get my skin to adjust to it at that strength...crazy, right. All the advice I've heard until now is you just have to power thru, ease up, cut back, sandwich, layer, wait 30 minutes, etc, etc...and make it work. But darn it just won't without extensive peeling. So finally going back to my trusty .05%. At first I thought the Doc was being contradictory with this video, having given that same advice, but it's actually the light switch I needed to knock sense into me. Every skin is different, and if something's not working simply change course. Thanks for this reminder.

Great subject...I did start out with the lower tretinoin .25 about 8 months w/moisturizer first to buffer just in case of peeling then move up to a higher dose but always with a good moisturizer...🙋‍♀️ I'm sure you already know how many women don't know what vitamin A is for this does include my mom and my mother in law...so thank you for educating me🙏 your colors of your shirts are beautiful 😊

Thank you so much for this video Dr. Rajani. I have retinol but was afraid to use it. You are worth your weight in gold. Maybe I will use it but not much to begin. Maybe once a week. In face I am going to view this video again just to be on the safe side. Thanks again.

This was so helpful! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Sometimes it’s hard to get this information from our doctors. They either don’t know, or want to sell us products they carry rather than helping us work with what we’ve already invested. I was ready to give up on my Retin A, but will try the moisturizer first application technique.
