the CeraVe retinol has been an AMAZING retinol for my sensitive skin. it already has ceremides and niacinamide built in plus it's an encapsulated retinol so it's super easy on the skin while still giving the results!!

I wish you could highlight the negative effects of retinol on eyes. People if you suffer from dry eyes please notice the changes in your eyes and don't hesitate to consult your opthalmologist. No matter how mild or far away you place it from your eye orbital- your eyes can be affected.

I have sensitive skin and I use toner, snail mucin, niacinamide, moisturizer and then tretinoin. Has been working great for me. Started using tretinoin under your recommendation and my acne is gone now. Thanks doc

I took your advice seven months ago. I could barely tolerate it twice a week. I started with retinal two to three times a week with a barrier cream under it. Now, I have advanced to retinol! On my off nights, my skin can handle adding Olay retinal. It's a game-changer for my skin! Love you Dr. Idriss! 💕

Wait wait wait.... i can put my moisturizer on first?! I was told to put it on fresh washed and completely dry skin, then add other products. I had to scale down to once a week because my skin HATES it. Thank you so much, I will very gently try this.

If you don't get irritated around the mouth area, is it okay to put it there? Or is there another reason to not put retinol on that area?

I sandwich my adapalene. Toner -> Serum -> Adapalene -> Moisturizer
I can use it almost daily with zero negative reactivity. :)

I bought my first retinol product (0.5% serum from ordinary) already a few weeks ago and I still haven't been brave enough to test it.. 🙈

My question is: If it's making my face more sensitive towards the sun, for how long will it be like this if I only use it once per week? 🤔

Thank you for the tips though!
I feel a bit braver now to try it out. 🥰

I always put my 1% retinol around my mouth, I don’t want to look like a bulldog when I’m older

I use hydrating toner or niacinamide serum underneath tretinoin. I use ceramide moisturizer lotion around my mouth and jaw lines as well 😅
