Abbie, I believe another reason, your story (YOUR BOOK), so tugs at my heart, is because I have loved ones with a disability, and the world of medicine is beginning to aggressively discriminate against these (PEOPLE OF EQUAL VALUE!), to the point of literally denying them life saving protocols, simply because they are disabled.

I was asked a couple weeks ago to write the press release for a new law (Simon's Law/Simon Crosier), which is making its way around the U.S. state by state, to prevent doctors from placing a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order in a child's med chart without parental consent or knowledge.

I met Simon's Mom when we helped w Charlie Gard case. That is the book I am working on.

I plan to purchase copies of your book as Christmas gifts.
We need more books/movies with disabled characters as the protagonist.
