I self-publish my books through SEVEN different companies: Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), Ingramspark, Draft2Digital (D2D), Google Play, Kobo, Apple Books, and Barnes and Noble Press. In this video I'll share why I use each of these companies (and the one company I DON'T work with anymore).

UPDATE: as of June 2023, Ingramspark removed their initial uploading fees, and I believe also any fees to make changes for 60 days. This is a great improvement and step in the right direction!

I was literally about to invest thousands of dollars to a self-publishing company who promises to take new writers from dream to best-selling published author. This has helped me (even if slightly overwhelming because I'm new to this lol) and given me confidence to pursue self-publishing myself.

1:00 Amazon has best royalties is right. A paperback selling for $7.77 gets a royalty of $3.10. The same book printed and sold by Barnes & Noble makes $0.23.
