Lol, when I found this channel, my initial thought process was along the lines of, "Meh, there might be a useful tip in the next few videos, but I'll still watch these cause they're so entertaining, " boy was I underestimating you.

Thank you for discussing mental health Jenna. Depression and anxiety suck! I've been struggling with it since I was 16. I convinced myself that to give in would be weakness. I finally got to the point, recently, where I couldn't take it anymore. It was interfering with my writing and every day the simplest issue would have me in tears and ready to just quiet my job. I'm finally medicated and try to talk to people about it.

In my area it's just something people aren't focused on. The closest mental health counselor is an hour and half away which blows and I'm sure it hinders the ability for people to get the treatment they need. Thankfully, my doctor doesn't think I'm to that point yet. As a community we need to come together and talk about mental health because I'm sure there are lots of writers out there who suffer from this and no one should have to.

Anyone who suffers should seek help. Most people don't know that their insurance covers treatment. My old employer covered counseling 100%. There are ways to get help even if you can't afford it. Find a doctor you feel you can talk to. I told my doctor things I was terrified to tell even my partner.

If you're reading this and suffering know that you're not alone and to always keep fighting. You are important!
