Chris is in a canoe on the lake when she sees Jason - unmasked and covered in blood staring at her through the cabin windows. She starts to scream and tries to escape but she is dragged into the water by Pamela Voorhees.

What’s the movie Friday the 13th - Part III about?
The third installment in the "Friday the 13th" sees Jason continue to avenge his mother by killing a new set of young adults who come into the lakefront property called Higgins Haven.
Friday the 13th, part III picks up on the day after the carnage of the previous film, with homicidal maniac Jason Voorhees (Richard Brooker) stealing some clothes and killing a local store owner. Meanwhile, Chris (Dana Kimmell) and her sometimes boyfriend, Rick (Paul Kratka), are hosting a group of teenage friends at Chris' lake house. Despite a run-in with a local biker gang, they enjoy an amiable weekend together -- that is, until Jason begins knocking off kids and bikers alike.

Running Jason was scary. He wasn't a zombie yet, he was just animalistic, hyper and had scary outdoor survival skills. Once he targets you, you are done. If you live unlike this unfortunate one you won't ever be ok.

Richard did an amazing job as Jason but Ted White's Jason in part 4 was the best version of Jason.
Very menacing and had some brutal kills.
Especially the banana girl.
