I quit caffeine about 40 days ago and have never felt better. Caffeine is truly just a legal drug. Anything that gives you withdrawals when quitting is a harmful substance. Glad this is finally getting the attention it deserves.

I went for 30 days caffeine-free in the late 1980s. Day two and three, I had an intense withdrawal migraine headache, but on day four, I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed and full of energy, ready to start my day.
I used to think that feeling fatigued and exhausted when waking up was normal. Wrong. It's the caffeine! Yes, you can sleep while on caffeine, but it's not as restful a sleep as if you were off of caffeine.

I quit caffeine 90 days ago. All I can say is my energy, focus, efficiency, skin, sleep is incredible. My anxiety is COMPLETELY gone (several panic attacks sent me to urgent care). I admit the first week off of caffeine was awful. But just knowing why kept me going. I realized how addicted I was to this drug. My endurance as a triathlete has vastly improved. You need to understand what caffeine actually does, not what YouTube caffeine justifiers are falsely claiming. If you can’t take a 30 day break then you are addicted and that is a REAL problem. You cannot argue against this until you actually try a 30 day no caffeine.

Though most people can enjoy caffeine in moderate amounts, those with anxiety, mental health issues, high blood pressure, insomnia, or gut issues should avoid caffeine COMPLETELY. The combination of exercise and giving up caffeine can do wonders for the aforementioned conditions and is far more effective than drugs.

I think it is dependent on the person. When younger I drank a lot of coca cola etc without any issue. However I started drinking coffee full time when I got an office job when I was 20. This is the biggest regret of my life. Without realising it caused me really bad fatigue and affected my mood. 20 years later I really try to come off it, however it is really addictive to my mood/body. My advice is, if coffee gives you any mental/body reactions or effects, do not drink it as this can ruin your life in the long run.

Mental health is important and people need to stop thinking they are above it or better than it. Everyone has mental health and having mental illness shouldn't be stigmatised.

Sometimes you feel tired because all you needed was simply a glass of water, especially in the morning. Remember, just losing 2% of body water can trigger the symptoms of dehydration, and it often occurs after a long sleep.

I only drink it if I am working, on the weekends I do not like to come near it and yes I eventually start to get a headache but I hydrate myself and eat fruits and then it fixes it for me soon after I will definitely try leaving it for a month and see how it goes

Um, nobody here in the comments wants to discuss how blood flow to the brain decreased 40% after consumption of coffee and what that means?

I'm sure they want to label it mental disorder, because lots of money can be gotten doing that.

lawyers and politicians have been doing it for years.
they make up laws so they can debate and get around laws, and make new laws and complicate a simple matter for years and years.
