For this tier, it may just be more efficient to do a vanilla hopper chain for the inputs. Hoppers pointing sideways into the next hopper (chained where the pipes are) with hoppers underneath feeding into the furnaces. Hoppers prioritize going down over going sideways, so it works the same as this pipe setup, but at the much faster hopper speed.

Theres also a really nice "Horse Garage" you can make where you don't have to bother with leads. Bottom slab on the ground, then in the block space 2 above, a top slab, 3 wide. The space is large enough to go in and out of without taking damage, but the Horse AI cant go through it, so it stays put forever.

Could also be a tip, but your bookmarks have multiple pages, its the little "1/2" at the bottom of the bookmarks. Helps keep them organized and not taking up your entire screen, and there's infinite of them. Ive got 1 for foods, 1 for tools, 1 for blocks, 1 for steam machines, etc.
