Bamboo has finally become the versatile resource it also is in the real world.
It can also be used for emeralds with fletcher villagers trading sticks.

So nice to see bamboo being properly utilised by mojang

Finally a use for bamboo besides scaffolding!

I still really want waterlogged bamboo plants. It'd be great if they could grow in shallow-ish water.

Bamboo is so powerful now. Good for fuel, good for trading with fletchers, good for scaffolding, and now can be made into wood! On top of that, you can get 10 double chests of it within an hour relativly easily.

So bamboo and iron farms are now the key to everything

I’ll be coming back to watch this in 1.20

As much as I love the bamboo changes, I do worry that it might just be TOO good, and that it might actually need a nerf before full implementation in 1.20

The thing I don’t understand is the water along side the bamboo farm. The amount of blocks and time to place them and the water must far exceeded just using those blocks as walls reducing lag and the footprint of the farm as a whole. Idk I’m not a technical player but I would never add the water to the side as seen here. My bamboo farm is 21 x 60 and has glass walls, took about 8 mins to build the walls.

Finally I don’t have to build a laggy tree farm in the e update!

Unfortunately for bedrock, mud blocks are solid full blocks so hoppers cannot pick up items through it. You'd have to put a minecart hopper under it. Plus I'm pretty sure the grindstone hitbox differs from bedrock to java.

Yes we always get the short end of the stick.

Stripped Bamboo can make :
Doors
Slabs
Stairs
Trapdoors
etc

Non stripped Bamboo :
...

Also, hoppers need some change, as the 4 slots are kinda useless, they can make a single slot hoppers that can activate if and only if they inserted 1 specific item.

What's the most efficient form of bamboo for smelting now? I don't imagine the bamboo pieces themselves are, maybe slabs?
