Short Clonic Seizure

Most people wouldn't notice this small amount of movement. This for my son is a Clonic Seizure! "clonic seizures are characterized by jerking or twitching". For him specifically if it hasn't stopped in 7 minutes per doctors orders we give a rescue medication to help stop the seizure otherwise it may not stop and cause more problems! Thankfully this day is stopped on its own with in a few minutes! The hard part about being a parent to a child with seizures is you NEVER know when they will happen. It can even be when your in the car, so you gotta pull over and handle things and observe the situation and keep the seizure timed. Thought this would be good education for people who don't know much about seizures & what they can look like. Most people associate seizures as being the big "grand mal" stiffening/jerking whole body movements, but that is only 1 type of known seizure out of a handful of them. Thanks for watching ( i know it's hard to watch a child suffer) but it's also super educational and has helped many caregivers of his know what to look for when watching him in school, daycare, respite care and even family.
