How To Restore Quick Access Pinned Folders in Windows 11

preview_player
Показать описание
Microsoft "improved" windows 11 in a recent (fall 2023) update and replaced Quick Access with Home. Home displays suggested or recommended items. In the Left pane, Home has no pinned folders.

This video will show you how to turn your pinned items back on under Home the way Quick Access worked.

47 second video to solve a problem that has been infuriating me for months. Wow.
It is pathetic for Microsoft that it was somehow so hard to find this simple solution.

Thank you!

Thank you. What a horrible change that was. Wish I would have found your video before I spend so much time trying to restore that. You're a life saver.

Amazing. Can't believe they removed it with no explanation, my pinned folders are essential to my workflow. Thanks for the easy solution!

Thank you for this. This abomination of a folder manager is already frustrating enough to use. It's insane that the option to re-enable the Quick Access is under an option labeled as such.

Too bad it seems like Microsoft may be hell-bent on forcing this terrible change on us permanently in future updates.

Doesn't work. When I click Options from the ellipses there is no Show Recommended Section choice. There are only 3 choices listed, not 4 as appears in your video.

Your video saved my day. It proves that Ai is not not able to provide the same help as humans can . Thanks!

Thank you so much. I needed to go into my settings and uncheck "show frequently used files" and then it gave me back my quick access and pinned items. A little different than your instructions, but it worked!

Does not work for me. Is there a Windows 11 version number where it should work?

"Show recommended actions" doesn't appear for me under Folder Options->General...any idea why that may be?

Thank you. Microsoft's tech pages were useless. Their "solutions" were not good in a corporate environment. This works for the few machines where the Quick Access folders were missing.

That option isn't there for me. Any ideas how to fix this?
