Speaking as a diabetic, the "painfulness" of blood tests is heavily overblown. It's a quick jab in the side of the finger and done. I have to do 4-6 of them per day, and it's the least arduous component of my regimen. And besides, these contact lenses will need to be calibrated to be effective, and guess how that's done? That's right, with those "painful" blood tests.
