this seems to be the first step towards a new direction. Yes it seems inchoate but if well integrated, it can do more than just COVID symptoms monitoring. People should not discourage even the smallest developments. They lead to a chain of new technologies. Perfection doesnt happen overnight.

The values being monitored shown on the smart phone doesn't need to be in a disposable mask. It doesn't have a PM2.5, VOC monitoring device and all the remaining data (skin temp, BPP, SO2, blood pressure) can be measured elsewhere on the body less intrusively.

Why not put these on an wrist armband or a skin patch elsewhere like existing commercial fitness monitors vs placing them on a mask that you need to eventually dispose or have it rub against your face?

I'm more concerned on how this works because you know that you need to wash the mask if not it would stink. Yet this is not really uh... suited for washing? and making this disposable is not a very good idea as well.
