The New Microsoft Teams is Coming in 2023!

Microsoft Teams came out in 2017. Teams is being overhauled this year. The new Teams will be faster, smarter, and more flexible. For example, we not only collaborate with our co-workers, but we also collaborate with users from other companies and organizations. The new Teams will allow you to stay signed in and work across multiple tenants. No more signing out and switching. In addition, you will get all notifications regardless of the tenant you are signed in to.

According to Microsoft's post, the following changes are also coming to the new Teams:
* Launch app up to 2X faster
* Join meetings up to 2X faster
* Switch chats/channels up to 1.7X faster
* Consume up to 50% less memory
* Consume up to 70% less disk space

My video covers how to launch the new Teams in preview mode, and I show a couple of changes to channels. Posts and Announcements have been moved to the top. Recent posts will now show at the top, and you can pop out a conversation.

Hey Chris, I tested it 2 weeks ago. Yes, quicker. But only quicker. At this time useless in Enterprise. Files and Call icons are missing and we are unable to make calls !!!! In Chat, we have lost Contacts. So, hopefully, the guinea pigs did a successful back out. It is like with the new version of Outlook (copy of OWA). Most features from Outlook Desktop are now missing (Word editor, find/replace, Insert Quick parts and so on....) . I do not understand Microsoft roadmap. Cheers from outside of the pond ;-) Beers...

The worst problem is that I can no longer use the free teams and must sign up for a $ 4.50-a-month essentials version. Does this also mean that the home version of Teams is dead? Since I was only using it for Skype calling I decided to uninstall it.
