😭😭 I dropped my phone into the sink with running water for a second, I grabbed it and the faceid wasn’t working, I tried my front camera and it was fine. I went to reset my settings and it works

When you reset your settings do you lose your contacts messages or pictures and videos?

The first option fixed my phone. Once it reset the settings, I went back into the Face ID settings and had to set it back up, re-scanned my face. But this also reset my alarms, which I didn’t know was apart of settings and missed my birth control by 20 minutes 💀 thank you tho for the help, I’m happy.
UPDATE - 13 days later, same FACEID error popped up, this is just a bandaid solution.

Same issie with my iphone, but the not usual is every 3pm beyond, tbe portrait and the face id is functional and before 7pm it's back again to true depth issue.

I tried everything for my iPad Pro. Then I used my iPhone flashlight and saw some dust stuck inside the hole or true depth sensor whatever that is. I inserted the ejector pin inside that hole and after that Face ID started working. Let’s see if it stays this way.
