I remember reading in a yt comment section somewhere that during the massive deep freeze in TX last year, people had their heat thermostats turned down without their permission. They didn't even realize it had happened until after the fact. I closed my Amazon acct and went to my bank and had my debit card deactivated this last fall when all the hacking stories came out. A cave in the mountains is starting to sound pretty good.

Line in the sand happened for me a few weeks ago. I was approached by an AI health company based out of Australia utilizing occlus goggles to teach hands on health education. Such as cpr, etc. I thought it sounded like a good idea but had a check in my spirit about it. Listened to the founder on a podcast and a yt video on metaverse and decided I wanted nothing to do with it. It isolates us and is dehumanizing. The founder was saying he loved going to other places in his spare time without ever leaving his living room. As a nurse I know the healing power of human interaction. The power of touch and how God works through us. AI is not Godly. Jesus stated greater things you will do in My name.

I agree with what your saying. Man, Cell phones replace so many things these days it's a wonder anyone still have their jobs! You've got movies, shows, live entertainment, historical information, FaceTime, maps, weather, education information and videos, and the list goes on and on just using your phone!

We all have to decide where to draw that line with technology and everything else too. If you just float through life not thinking about anything, you will accept everything not considering the consequences, small great or nill. Life's too short to waste time on non important things.

Yep answered the question...no smart phone, no smart tv...but had to have a smart fridge and smart electricity to the home...so much tracking nowadays with it all...go off grid is the answer I guess?

That curve is moving in the direction of the singularity as described by Kurzweil. We see meta is going to be a HUGE step in that direction and it's immanent. What is beyond the singularity? Even with all of that I see hope in God's word. I love looking at Paul on the road to Damascus. He was SET IN HIS WAYS and filled with determination and Jesus shows up. Let's believe Jesus is going to show up in that curve.

I'm with you, on trying to be self sufficient (not easy when the body doesn't cooperate).
They can keep the brain wave technology! To many of there wanting to play god in so many ways.
The simple life is best.

I have a 1985 Chevy C10 truck, and I prefer driving it over my new cars and ditch the tech, plus easier to fix. But you can hardly escape the tech anymore. I keep it to a minimum as much as possible.

It will always be around, but we don't have to use it. Not much we can do about our daily drive, but old tractors & equipment are out there (buy now & learn to maintain/repair it)..

Memories of Peter Frampton's Wah Wah on "Do you feel like we do" from the 70s comes to mind. The mass's reaction was rebellion against such demonic growling.
