I hope you take my idea. I see that a lot of marbles get crushed due to high pressure just before proliferation. Maybe you could create a closed barrel that moves on a track. This barrel becomes larger as time goes by (but only slightly) and sometimes shakes vigorously. Let the marbles proliferate and since the barrel doesn't add much volume but proliferation does, a lot of the marbles get crushed. Maybe you could increase the size of each marble after proliferation.

in this video, Mikan uses a new proliferation type. Rather than expanding and splitting, taking up the same place before expansion occurs, marbles proliferate on the same size, same spot, on a set interval. This is far more ballistic.
