To me good presentation captures the audience with the opening hook by addressing the WIIFM (what's in it for me) with a direct and compelling statement. The rest of the presentation then takes the audience along a journey that reinforces the opening hook and motivates them towards a call to action. The journey is both informative and entertaining. I always coach my consultants/clients that their job when preparing and delivering a presentation is to "inform", "persuade" and "entertain" the audience. Done right the audience is left with just enough information with a memorable experience that motivates them to action.

It's amazing to see Paul's references on how to give a great presentation. But I must say, I wasn't taking notes from Steve Jobs but from YOU.

I love how you can make anything interesting!

I used the SCQA framework (based on your previous videos) to create a powerpoint on an engineering analysis for work and it really helped me to clarify what I was trying to convey. And it also helped me to see that some parts were missing from my story, in order for it to make sense to the audience. Thanks a lot for your efforts with this channel!

I almost fell out of my beanbag chair on the suggestion of a long, context driven intro. Impossible with current attention spans. The set up needs to be short, to the point and then move on. Subjective but that tip was a miss from what I see day to day.
