How to deliver a good presentation

Communication is not ONLY about what you say, but how you deliver it. And you can only focus on delivery once you've rehearsed and learnt the content of your presentation!

Too many people only focus on the content and not the delivery, and as a result when they're called upon to speak their message doesn't get across. Please don't forget to put time into the rehearsal process!

100% agreed! Once you become free from thinking of the next words, you can be present at your presentation and be able to read the audience.

Absolute facts right here 💯 Once you understand the stuff you want to talk about in your presentation, at least generally, it’s so much easier to give that presentation talking like yourself. It’s almost like having a conversation with your audience, which brings with it all the emotions and intonations that you usually have when speaking.

Of course, shyness can still be a bit of a hindrance and that falls into a different set of hurdles that have to be overcome, but knowing (and understanding) the information that you’re gonna be talking about really helps lessen that stress. Think about how when you’re an expert on some random game or movie or character, you can talk unabashedly about it forever, not really being afraid of how you come off or what the other person thinks about you. That’s basically the same principle to apply to a presentation, and that might usually require some sort of rehearsal if you’re not familiar with the material (which usually happens in stuff like school/college presentations).
