1. Tailor your talk to the audience and context. Why do they care?
2. Share why YOU care. Examples from your experience.
3. Aim to transform the audience, beyond just informing. Change what your audience knows, but also what they believe, feel, and do.

Thanks. It is true, you got to be the walker of your talk. Take them into your world and show how it is not that all different from theirs. Make them realize you feel what they feel to it and whatever you have to suggest, they will open up and understand and may try and implement it as they have put their shoe in yours.
