What is “Hell” in the Bible and How Does it Work?

Do people who reject God end up burning forever in hell? The Bible does not talk about everlasting hell for sinners. Reading the Bible in context is important. Sinners are destroyed in the end. But this is simply an end to evil, not a continual, burning hell where anyone is tormented. It is rather destruction that lasts forever.

Good teaching! I was thinking also that Adam and Eve were not made eternal bringing otherwise they wouldn’t have been kicked out of the garden. The reason for this is so they couldn’t eat from the tree of life and live forever. So eternal life is granted only to those who eat from the ‘cursed ‘ tree - the cross -Yeshua. Only Jesus can give eternal life.

God has pronounced that the penalty of sin is spiritual death and separation from God in a place of judgment called hell: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Jesus clearly taught that sinners were condemned in sin and would perish and go to hell if they didn't believe in Him as their Savior (John 3:16-18).

Mark 9:43-44

43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— 44 where

‘Their worm does not die
And the fire is not quenched.’

So was Jesuis just kidding around when He said this??

Jesus dies for our sins to save us from an eternal burning hell. People choose hell, God does not send anyone. Stop the false teachings.
