In our scriptures (Hinduism) hell is not a permanent "abode "
One Goes there only if his or her karma is totally evil and punishment is accordingly.
You can be born again on earth as a human or start the animal cycle.
No one Goes to hell if he does'nt believe in a god.
Punishment is doled out According to ones deeds.

You forgot to mention that in Hinduism hell is only for a short period of time, You will be reborn again after ur punishment is over so u will not suffer for eternity in hell. And u dont have to believe in GOD to go to heaven u just need to be a good person and follow humanity because humanity is the best thing one can practice ❤

In Sanatan Dharma hell is short time period place where souls get punished according to Karma thus cleanishing through intense punishment . After that they again joins in Samsara this repeats in cycle untill they merge with nothingness.
In nutshell hell-heaven is fodder for us :)
