Let me make it clear for some of us who don't know the impact of this decision: let's assume 1 dollar = 1 ruble before the war and you had a contract to pay Russia 1 dollar for a barrel of oil and gas. Now, 1 dollar = 10 rubles and Russia accepts the payment only in Rubles. So, for the same barrel of oil and gas, now you pay 10 rubles (1 dollar as per the contract), so you not only have to keep and buy rubles to pay for your oil and gas needs, you are weakening the American dollar. So, Americans won't just make money because you are paying in rubles, not dollars

Where are the European countries going to get their supply from? The US? If the US has excess supply why is gasoline prices going up?
