real story: im an allo queer person but i saw someone at a friends birthday party with a black ring and i mustered up the courage to ask them if that were an ace ring which they were very suprised happily that i had recognised it! especially since queer issues of any kind arent super well known in my country

I've also heard that space themes are symbols for asexuality. They can be like a purple moon (which is my favorite), to an astronaut teetered to an asexual colored moon. All of these are pretty cool and on Pinterest. Thanks for doing these videos! 🏳️‍🌈🖤🤍💜

While I'm all for knowing the symbols and the sense of community using these can bring, I'd like to point out to my fellow aces that you don't need any of these to fit you and you don't need to use any of these symbol to be ACE. Your identity is valid and it doesn't make you any more or less ace if you use/don't use the common symbols.

Do what you want, enjoy what you enjoy and don't let anyone tell you how you're "supposed" to be.

Invading Denmark is one I’ve seen around, it’s definitely not the most important ace symbol but it does *exist*- I googled it and it seems to be because about 1% of people are ace (about 80 million in the world) and Denmark’s population is *only* 5 million-ish so we can just storm in and take over and make it the land of the aces if we all band together… yay I guess?? 😂

Even before I knew I was asexual, lavender was always my favorite color, I have been obsessed with dragons my whole life, and I have a huge star/moon/space aesthetic. Man, someone probably could have put the pieces together way sooner than I did.

This explains why purple has been creeping into my wardrobe more and more lately, lol! And I’ve started collecting ace rings! (Like black rings, and silver rings with black stones when I want to be an incognito ace) Excessive? Maybe, but it makes me happy XD

Im autistic asexual - yes, we do love, we fall in love, we feel romantic attraction. I love to cuddle and hold hands but intellectual and emotional stimulation is where its at for me. Can you imagine, we can enjoy life to the fullest, be fulfilled and happy, and have intense emotions.
We even have sex, some of us, but we dont “need it” we dont seek it out. We dont have a “I want him/her” feeling or thought. 🤷‍♀️ we just dont care about it, so your obsession with it looks funny to us, weird, absurd, or even disgusting sometimes.
