Well, both my spouse and I realized that while married. No biggie.

My wife and I figured out after 13 years together we were both demisexual. Which was cool and not really an issue, then about a month later I figured out I was transfemme, which was a bit trickier.

My mom is a 65+ yr old baby boomer. She was a teenager during the "free love" hippie movement of the early 1970s (i.e. the sexual revolution). She was a part of that counterculture.
I came out as asexual to her in my teens, in the 2010s. That's when she realized she's grey-ace, herself. She'd spent all her younger years "just going with the flow" & believing her lack of sexual attraction was cuz ""women don't feel strong sexual attraction anyway"". She thought all her girl besties were exaggerating how much they wanted to have s3x with their partners...thought they were doing it just to please them, like she usually was.
So yeah, if my mom can find out she's ace-spec in her '60s, after being married twice and being a part of the free love movement....so can you.

After hearing a thorough (I think!) breakdown of the ace spectrum, I concluded that my ex husband (we were married for 18 years) is likely ace. *This is not one of the many reasons why we're not together!*

I had an inkling when I first started dating my wife, but it wasn't until several years into being married that I had a more complete grasp on the asexual spectrum and where I fell on it. A lot of things just started making more sense when that puzzle piece was put into place.

Heck, a lot of gay people find out after having been in hetero marriages for years due to feeling social and familial pressure to enter a traditional marriage.

Yep, been married 13 years and only recently concluded I'm Demi/Ace as well as finally accepting I'm non-binary and started socially transitioning. After two whole kids with my cishet husband who is my #1 cheerleader 😊

Found out asexual was a thing 5ish years into my marriage. Really wish I'd known sooner. We're divorced now, partially because of the mismatched sexuality. Still valid, though!

I want to get married and have a sexual relationship with my future spouse and have children, and I am still on the asexual spectrum. I think I’m reciprosexual

You can even still have kids if you still want them.

I figured it out after 30+ years of marriage. It's never too late.

I told my current partner of 8 years when we first got together that I didn't really like sex. They are hypersexual. I realized im Ace about 3 years in after we had a whole kid
It's been a fun 8 years 😂

That's a tragedy for both parties.

11:55 I’m going to be honest, I don’t like how the lady responded to the question. I feel like she was way too aggressive and accusatory, she failed to defend her own argument, and then deflected by calling the question transphobic. I’m not saying the question wasn’t transphobic, it was definitely a bit iffy, I just feel like her approach was the wrong one.
