I got so lucky to move to an old home with ancient fruit and nut trees that are still producing fabulous food. I love having the trees in the garden, as they are wise and generous teachers of how much Mother Earth loves us and provides for us. The crows even plant some of the trees for us, as I have seen many pecan trees sprout up around our yard. Many of the plants you think are weeds are helpful and edible. We are blessed to live on this planet. Thank you Kiss The Ground for making this wonderful video! Much love to you!

First time I am hearing the phrase " climate victory garden". Did you coin that phrase ? If so, it is great! If it is already in existence, still great !👍

"If you don't want it in your body, don't put it in your food."

I had to pause the video when I heard that. Shook.

I LOVE this! I thought my channel was about the only one talking about regenerative gardening. Thank you for this! Of course I'll be sharing and adding it to my regen playlist.

Very nice initiative!
I'd like to add one more tip: plant trees and other perennials in your garden.
And read Mark Shepard's "Restoration Agriculture" :)

YES! Even if you just start with a little tomato plant, or a basil herb plant, try it!

Ron, please recommend for me, a single diplomat, in a place usually for 1-3 years, who has limited space and items to build a monster compost, but I want to grow my own tomatoes, basil, and kale.

Can I ask in an urban setting where the soil is most likely contaminated would raised beds be the answer if so would a membrane be required also what would the dimensions look like and would raised beds effectively sequester carbon?

Really basic question - when is the best moment to add the compost? After harvesting and before planting again, or can you just toss it around crops as they're coming up?

So any plant is better than no plant? I have been getting a lot of information I'm overwhelmed and confused. So if I want healthy soil don't turn it got it and always keep it covered. Got that buuuut I have been finding information that I should be planting native and to avoid planting non native plants. Since non native can become an issue like one of them being that they end up becoming invasive. So you mean keep the ground covered and have it be native plants? I have also done companion gardening and ditched the chemicals. I have found that I have no issue with pest with this technique, but is companion gardening part of the whole regenerative gardening? Wouldn't it keep my soil healthy doing it this way? I'm so confused. Im sort of new to this I need some help 😣 I wish they had free classes on how to do all of this and how I can keep my garden/soil basically all of it healthy.
