This video was very helpful. I am a Pastor and recently lost my wife of 30 years. I have been so out of it and struggling over the last few months to just function. Everything is difficult and just hurts emotionally and physically. I have thought a change in scenery would do me and my son well, but after this video I know that I have all I need in Christ Jesus wherever He wants me to be. Thank you for the video....I still hurt, but I know there is hope, love, and healing in Christ.

I appreciate your good and kindly delivered words. I would suggest, however, that the modern church keeps telling us what we should be and how we should feel but provides little real substance on how we should get there. The fundamental problem may be that we assess our lives based on the shallow virtues of the world. But, if we did not, the church would bear little resemblance to her modern self and that may be a wonder-filled thing. Thanks...

I asked the Lord a while back why the body of Christ is so weak and rapidly losing its influence. The answers have always been in the Bible, but we didn't see it. God can't operate outside of his principles for the Body. The pastor, or overseer, is supposed to facilitate mutual ministry. Every single member of the Body is gifted by God for mutual ministry. It is this mutual ministry which enables the Body to grow "as each one does its part." What we have in the institutional church is the total opposite of mutual ministry. Pastors preach sermons, which impart information. However, this method goes against the Spirit because the Spirit has arranged for the body to grow mutually "as each one does its part" and he does not accept changes in his formula The reason why the present church system isn't working is that the design of the Holy Spirit is discarded. God accepts no substitutes to his method of growth.
