Western nations can ‘send message’ on China-Russia alliance

Former Labor senator Stephen Conroy says “all western nations” must come together to send a message to the new alliance between China and Russia.

Mr Conroy said the pact between China and Russia supporting each other has changed the global strategic discussion.

“I think Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine has fundamentally changed perceptions,” he told Sky Australia.

“Right now is a time when all western nations have to come together and really reinforce and send that message to this new alliance between China and Russia.”

Nato warns China against alliance with Russia and invading Taiwan but it can form alliance and has even expanded with Finland and Sweden joining soon.Nato also invaded Libya, Iraq and Syria even though it is supposed to be a "defensive" alliance but objects strongly to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan.Different rules for different folks?
